New electronic resource for women’s rights in the Commonwealth June 6, 2005Today, the Virginia Chapter of the National Organization for Women (VA NOW) is unveiling its newly redesigned, interactive website, www.vanow.org. VA NOW’s innovative website will serve as a comprehensive, daily updated, electronic resource for women’s rights issues in Virginia.
www.vanow.org is an excellent reference for learning more about VA NOW’s stance on current and hot button issues spanning across social, political, and economic concerns. VA NOW’s web site is continuously updated with information on local, state, and national NOW events as well as time-sensitive action alerts concerning legislation impacting women’s lives around the commonwealth. A blog and webcasting are also in the works!
In addition to maintaining a wealth of women’s rights resources and information, the web site is an excellent way to contact VA NOW’s state and local leadership. Members of the media and other interested persons will find contact information for the VA NOW Executive Board, VA NOW PAC, as well as local NOW chapters.
VA NOW has many exciting and important upcoming events, such as its annual state conference in Roanoke, VA on July 16, 2005 at the Hotel Roanoke. Also, NOW’s national conference in Nashville TN on July 1-3, 2005 where elections for national leadership will take place.
