Virginia NOW PAC Endorses Leslie Byrne

On July 16, 2005, the Virginia Chapter of the National Organization for Women (VA NOW PAC)  announced its endorsement of Leslie Byrne's candidacy for Virginia Lieutenant Governor.  The announcement was made at Virginia NOW PAC’s 2005 State Conference in Roanoke with Ms. Byrne, VA NOW PAC President Tarina Keene, and NOW's National Officers in attendance. 
 
VA NOW PAC's endorsement of Ms. Byrne affirms her steadfast support for women's reproductive rights and equality, her conviction that gays and lesbians should enjoy equal treatment under the law, and her belief in economic justice for all Virginians.  Ms. Byrne is campaigning on a progressive platform designed to serve all citizens of the Commonwealth.  VA NOW PAC will be there to support this remarkable woman every step of the way!

Ms. Byrne has a lengthy and distinguished record of public service as a former U.S. Congresswoman, Virginia Senator, and White House appointee.  In her years of elected office, Ms. Byrne has worked to implement sensible transportation policies, environmentally responsible initiatives, and many other programs to benefit the public.   
 
VA NOW PAC urges all Virginians to support Leslie's efforts in the coming months and to turn out on election night.  A victory for Leslie Byrne is truly a victory for all residents of Virginia.
